About JD Winslow Equestrian Entertainment

J D Winslow is an established Equine trainer, educator, and entertainer. JD got his start in the Royal Hanneford Circus, riding in an independent horse act. Years later he went on to work directly for the owners of the circus. Tired of touring for months at a time, he left the circus to pursue other interests. It wasn’t long before he was acquiring horses of his own.
Today JD gives awe-inspiring performances of his horses, riding completely bareback, demonstrating the partnership between horse and human. Combining the beauty and grace of the different breeds with trick and fancy riding maneuvers, JD Winslow has created a unique show. Watching JD stand tall on his horse, as the horse trots in an oval pattern, spectators are thrilled to watch the horse respond to vocal commands. It is common for JD to remove the bridle, and ride completely free of any harness at all!

JD Winslow is proud of the ability to perform his shows where others would not even consider bringing their horses. Horse expos and special equine shows with a manicured arena and overhead lights provide the ultimate entertainment venue. JD has performed on racetracks with a grandstand, open fields with bales of hay acting as a small arena, in the middle of a carnival midway, even live theatre on a stage! For parades, all his horses are used to the noises and excitement that is generated, both at day and night.

With our experience working in very different and diverse venues, we have a lot to offer. From one horse clinics on vaulting, to a six horse, one hour in duration, fast moving show, we can put together a custom program for your event.
